Roxbury Christian Academy

Hi! I’m Barb Curtis, Co-Founder and Administrator of Roxbury Christian Academy (RCA), a registered ministry of Christian Faith Centre.

Child care is not a new line of work for me; prior to establishing RCA in 1995, I was a nanny for twelve years for 3 different families. As of 2004, I have a CDA in Child development and I am currently seeking my Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with a generalist specialty.

I feel that Roxbury Christian Academy is exceptional in that our environment is truly one of love for each child God brings our way. We pride ourselves in the personal relationships that we form with you and your child, and unlike larger facilities that are generally overcrowded, we are able to provide your child with the daily one on one attention that they deserve, which in turn enables them to learn and grow at their own pace.

We use the Abeka Christian curriculum which has a strong focus on phonics for ages 2 year preschool thru 5 year old kindergarten. We also supplement lessons with additional materials to enrich each child’s interest in learning about new things.

RCA’s staff has a combined 40 years of experience in childcare and is dedicated to furthering their education in early childhood education as well. If you are looking for a small, family friendly center that ministers to your child at their point of need, look no further. Come in and meet with us.
