Deacons
The position of deacon was established by the Apostles. The historical account is recorded in the Book of Acts chapter 6:1-7. The main function of this office was and is to deal with situations before they reached the teaching elders. To minister in a fashion so as to at best eradicate, or at least reduce the feelings of neglect experienced by their members. The Bible contains qualifications for this position in the Book of I Timothy 3:8-13.
We believe this is a valid and vital office to the success of any church.
Ushers
By definition, an usher is an officer who escorts, or to introduce. You will find Ushers at the entry to greet you upon your arrival and departure. They will help you with directions, to find a seat, or to answer any of your questions.
Ushers are members who have volunteered to serve for a period of six months.
Teachers
Members who offer their time and talent and commit to a six month season to provide biblical instruction and oversight in classes of their choosing. The materials used and content are pre-planned, similar topics in all age groups. Scheduled and packaged by our Children’s Ministry Directors.
We are convinced that the positive experience and atmosphere CFC provides to the young, creates memories that will last a lifetime.
