Mission Statement
Our mission is to fulfill the Great Charge that Jesus of Nazareth gave His followers just prior to His ascension to the Right Hand of God Almighty.
This "Charge" is recorded in Matthew 28:18-19, the first of four books known as Gospels of Jesus Christ. It is found in all accepted versions of the "Bible" which is the historical, current, and future account of for followers of Jesus, the Son of God.
"All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth..."
Jesus established and left His Church with authority and leadership structure. We seek to continue this pattern, educating followers and respecting His leaders and gifts to the church. Though each group of believers has its own personality and leadership structure, we understand all are a local reflection of a global for followers of Jesus.
"Go therefore and make disciples, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you..."
We understand everyone cannot and some should not "go". Some are responsible for the home front or supply lines. But where ever we find ourselves situated, that's our field. Every Christian has a responsibility in some way to obey and thus fulfill this command.
CFC does this on three fronts; personal, local, and global. The "personal" front is the one-on-one approach to individual or family, family development, friend to friend, and activity within the corporate setting. The "local" front is that which exists outside the building walls. The "global" front would be that which is reached through mission endeavors and partner ministries.
Through the various ministries operating under, within, and reaching out from CFC, described on these pages, we attempt to fulfill His charge with the following endeavors:
- Attract attention that Repentance, Remission of sin, and Abundant Life
be preached in the Name of Jesus Christ.
- Build strong followers of Jesus Christ.
- Develop a sense of community.
- Touch people at their point of need.
- Provide areas for growth and gift development.
- Extend beyond our walls and locale.
- Be faithful and wise stewards over all He entrusts to us.
It is not our purpose to spread the newest revelation or reinforce the most popular message within American Christendom today, but to be obedient to His timeless and changeless charge.
